Ariel

Ariel is a 34'7" double ended gaff cutter designed in 1950 by John Atkin as Vixen. Her design was the last of the double enders by the Atkins, influenced by the Norwegian life boats or Redningskoite designed by Colin Archer and introduced to American yacht design by William Atkin, John's father. Ariel has been with Traditional Boat since the Summer of 2010. She has had numerous repairs and upgrades which have included, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, spars, rigging, sails, hardware, and finishing throughout. We store and maintain Ariel.
